Smart Goals – Measurable
Goals Should Be Measurable
Smart goals are the type of goals that can work for your online business. It is important that you understand each part of the smart goal.
In the last post I talked about smart goals – specific. Being specific means that the goal is narrowed down to it's essence.
Next it should be measurable. You must be able to measure the goal and your progress to reaching that goal. Without being measurable you will never know when you have reached it.
Some examples of being measurable
You goal is to increase your autoresponder sign-ups by 50% by December 31, 2009. You currently have 100 sign-ups. So your goal is 150 sign-ups. Each month you measure how many sign-ups you have and compare that to the goal.
Your goal is to increase your unique visitors to your site by 50% by year end. You open your Google analytic's account and determine your current rate of unique visitors. Currently you have 200 unique visitors per month and your goal is 300 unique visitors. Then each month you check your traffic and see if you are on your way to meeting your goal.
So set up your smart goals and start to measure it.
Until the next time,
