Found Your Keywords – Now What?
Found Your Keywords – Now What?
You have just spent a number of hours discovering what keywords could be used to find your site and/or your product. You have a list of 20 to 100 or more keywords. Some are searched hundreds of times a month and others less. But all of them are appropriate for searchers to find you online.
We know that over 60% of people will search online before making any type of purchase – online or off line. People are using the Internet instead of the yellow pages and other print directories. TV and radio ads are becoming less effective because people are turning to the Internet.
So you have your list of search terms and now you need to use them on your site so the search engines will find your web site. So what do you do?
Either write a post or a page on a subject about your site or product. If you use posts, you can write a post announcing your new page with a link to your page.
OK so how do I use the keywords in my page/post.
- First incorporate the keyword or phrase in the title. Try to use it early in the title.
- Use the search term in the first paragraph.
- Use the search term throughout the post/page when it works into the flow.
You have now used the search term a number of times in the same post or page. So what now? Now you need to send traffic to that post or page.
You send traffic by:
- Social bookmarking your post/page
- Writing articles using the same keywords and submit to article marketing sites with links back to your post/page
- Create a squidoo or hubpage using the same keywords with links back to your post or page.
Using the keywords on multiple sites and pages all linked together will make your post/page stand out in the search engines.
The more articles and pages out in the Internet with links back to your page/post the better ranking you can earn.
